Privacy

Our shop isn't open yet, so this site collects very little. Here's what it does collect, and why.

Who we are

Watt Components runs this site and decides how the information on this page is used. You can reach us about anything here at [email protected].

If you join the launch list

We save your email address, the date and time you signed up, and the promise you signed up under: “We'll send you one email, on the day we open, and won't use your address for anything else.”

We keep the list on our own server and only use it to send that one email. We never sell it, and we don't share it with anyone for their own use. If we use an email service to send the launch email, it handles your address only to deliver that email for us.

We keep your address until we've sent the launch email, then delete the list. We rely on your consent to hold it, and you can withdraw that at any time by emailing [email protected]: we'll delete your address straight away.

If you email us

We use your name, email address and whatever you tell us only to reply. We delete the conversation once it's no longer needed.

Cookies, analytics and logs

This site doesn't set cookies or use analytics, advertising or tracking.

The page loads its font from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch it, and Google sees your IP address when it does. Like most websites, our server may also keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for a short time to keep the site running and secure.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We'll reply within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator.
